What motivates your company?
At Textron Specialized Vehicles, we strive to design and build vehicles and equipment that make hard work more efficient, and recreation more fun. Whether our customer is a ground operator at Hartsfield-Jackson pushing an airplane away from the gate in one of our TUG pushbacks, or a golfer enjoying a round in an E-Z-GO golf car, we provide a product that is easy to use, cost-effective to operate, and fun to handle.

Textron Specialized Vehicles traces its origins to the founding of the E-Z-GO Golf Car Company in Augusta in 1954 and has called Augusta its hometown for more than 63 years. We started in Georgia because of the Georgia roots of our founders, but we have stayed here for more than six decades because of the support of our local community and the advantages of doing business here.
In 1960, the E-Z-GO Golf Car Company was acquired by Textron Inc., a publicly traded, Fortune 500 company, and Textron Specialized Vehicles operates as a division of Textron Inc. today. Textron Specialized Vehicles now employs more than 4,200 people worldwide, including more than 1,200 people in Georgia. It has operated at its present location since the early 1960s, and recently expanded its operations in Augusta with the acquisition of a 240-acre site with more than 650,000 square feet of operational space, less than one mile from its existing campus.

Our Augusta campuses are in south Augusta, very close to Augusta Regional Airport. Textron Specialized Vehicles has been headquartered at its current location since the early 1960s when our founders built the facility in an area that was a hotbed at the time for commercial and industrial development in the city. Even today, this is one of the most significant manufacturing centers in the region, and we count numerous plants from large, well-known companies as our neighbors.
The company also operates facilities in Kennesaw, Ga., where its TUG line of ground support equipment for the aviation industry is designed and manufactured.
